“ Nice dinner with friends! The staff is very friendly. The place is clean and authentic. Food came out in a very reasonable time, and the flavor is amazing. The medium spice level, is the perfect amount of spice. The naan is the die for. Soft, and full of flavor. Didn’t get a picture of the gulab jamun, but DO NOT pass up this dessert. So sweet and satisfying. ”
“ Our first time here. We are very impressed with Taste of India. All the staff were friendly. Our waitress was awesome, very attentive. Food were delicious. We ordered chicken vindaloo, lamb curry, egg fried rice, samosa and garlic naan. All of us were satisfied. Very good price n generous portion. Definitely will be back! P.s. vindaloo n curry came with rice. Just didnt take pics of them. ”
“ My go to and favorite Indian establishment in Saint Johns area. As a former New Yorker, it is a challenge to find great ethnic cuisine in the area, especially Indian food. I highly recommend paneer saag, butter chicken (for the kiddos), weekend special green mirchi egg pulao and lamb korma. Service is great with hostess Latti giving you a sweet smile, and food always spot on. Restaurant is spotless and seating arrangements are well thought out. I highly recommend this establishment to potential customers. ”
“ We get parties catered through Taste of India very often. They ate always helpful and suggest dishes and quantities based on the number of expected guests. Food is always ready on time. They even provide a hot case so the dishes don't get cold before they are served at the venue. Very helpful and polite staff. We recently worked with Mr.Praneeth for 2 back to back parties and he was absolutely wonderful to work with. Very accommodating and helpful. Thank you for making our celebrations yummy! ”
“ The first thing about this place is the most amazing aroma when you enter. It delights the nose and the whole dinner tonight was one led by the aromas that highlighted the robust flavors that we had this evening. The atmosphere is bright and comforting, if plain. The service is very friendly and quick as well. The menu selection is excellent for those who are vegetarian, but they have a nice selection of lamb, chicken, and goat as well. The food is served family style of a sorts and the portions are very ample. My partner and I easily shared our food and have lots of leftovers. First was the Samosa Chat which was an excellent starter full of bright spices curbed with a hint of fresh fruit chutney and the crisp samosas and seasoned chickpeas. Next we had a Paneer Biryanis, there Naan that had the onions stuffed in it (Which was addicting), and had the Paneer Mirkahin (Probably spelling that wrong.) The spice levels were excellent and the aroma coming off the food made me hunger for more. Really you eat with the nose first here. The place was very friendly and the food excellent and very authentic. They make their own paneer here as well. Please check this place out when you need a good night out at very reasonable prices too for some excellent Indian cuisine! Update: This place is still amazing, even after quite a few more visits. Food and service are both wonderful. Make sure to order a Mango Lassi as well, it's not listed on the menu but they are a delicious beverage that is a cooling counterpoint to the spices of the cuisine. They have specials on the weekend including several different versions of Puhlow, which I'm pretty sure I'm spelling wrong. ”
“ Taste of India is our favorite Indian restaurant in Jacksonville. Chicken Tandoori is my favorite dish and have to order it each time we go. Also love the Lamb Rogan. We’ve tried multiple items on their menu and all were tasty and delicious. Pretty good coffee too. Highly recommended. ”
“ I loved the food. In past 3 years, it is one of the best restaurants I have been. Had Gobi manchurian, egg fried rice, Egg briyani and samosa chaat. We gave spice level as spicy, but it was way too spicy for us. But apart from that, the taste, portion and service are really good. Would definitely go again. ”
“ Really enjoy this Indian restaurant. It’s such a hidden gem but gaining in popularity. Rhea gives the most amazing service.. always helping us figure out what we want and has learned our spice tolerance (I have none) and is most helpful when ordering new dishes for us to try. Last night was no different. Food quality and taste is extremely high.. so many choices but the lamb chops are my favorite! Reasonable pricing for sure. Ended the evening with a Mango Lassie. Even if you like your Indian cuisine you should try this place out! ”
